Information

This tour involves hiking up Inwangsan Mountain to enjoy the Seoul night view and having Korean BBQ for dinner in Seochon.

1. Inwangsan Mountain Hiking (1 and a half hours, From Gyeongbokgung Station to beombawi to Seochon)

Gyeongbokgung Palace was the first palace of the Joseon Dynasty, which lasted from the late 14th century to the early 20th century. Inwangsan Mountain is located to the west of Gyeongbokgung Palace, and below Inwangsan is the area known as Seochon.

Sajikdan Altar is located on the way from Gyeongbokgung Palace to Inwangsan Mountain, where rituals were held during the Joseon Dynasty to pray for abundant harvests and prosperity.

During the Joseon Dynasty, Old Seoul was surrounded by four mountains and fortified with city walls.

Hikers can safely descend even in the dark thanks to the lights installed on the fortress walls as well as a Seoul expert guide.

2. Having Korean BBQ for Dinner (1 hour, Seochon)

Seochon is on the west side of Gyeongbokgung Palace and got its name during the Joseon Dynasty. It has always been a place where many artists lived, so there are still lots of galleries around.

Recently, it's become popular not just with hikers but also with young people who like its cool retro style.

This tour of Seoul was an unforgettable experience, filled with amazing sights and unique cultural encounters. Our guide, Kean was super friendly and gave us tons of information, making the tour really comfortable and enjoyable. Hearing the hidden stories and historical background of each location made the trip even more meaningful. I especially loved the traditional iced tea our guide provided us after hiking the small mountain where we enjoyed the entire view of Seoul.

Today's tour was fantastic, especially the surprising experience of hiking for an hour in the city to see the Seoul view. Additionally, my guide Kean was so kind and detailed in recommending local eateries. The boxed lunch was also delicious. I'd like to do another tour with this guide.
